The homestead was built in 1876 for the local goldmine manager and then was sold to the Coromandel Hospital Board. Situated in Coromandel Town with its rich heritage, this historical property is close to the Town center and Driving Creek Railway. In later years individual replica miners cottages were built in a village like setting at the rear of the house to create a unique, motel complex rich in character. Steve and Jan have been at Coromandel Colonial Cottages for over seven years and are passionate about Coromandel Town and the Peninsula
