What you should know about Evakona Education
Before coming to Evakona seven years ago , I was Head of Computing and Business Studies at Trident High School in NZ. It’s a great pleasure to meet people from many different countries here at Evakona, where my job is to support you so that you can get the most benefit from your time here in NZ. I am enjoying working with all the lovely staff at Evakona and meeting all the students who study here. I have been a teacher for many years, and for most of the time I have worked with students who ding literacy, especially learning to read and write difficult. I love teaching and working out strategies and activities to help students develop proficiency in the English language. I came to New Zealand fifteen years ago and have been an educator in a variety of settings since then including many years as a catch up teacher at Evakona.
The Coromandel is the most wonderful part of this beautiful country and a great place to experience some real Kiwi culture while improving your English. This makes the Coromandel Peninsula one of the best places in the world to live, work and study English! I studied English for many years before but I think this was the period that I’ve improved most. You can come to the office whenever you want and they help you. Every year, students, parents, families and holiday seekers trust Evakona with their dream of learning English. Lessons At first, the class was a bit too tough for me, then later when I got better I enjoyed studying here very much! Teachers At Evakona school, teachers and staff were very helpful and very friendly. I have exprienced not only English but also all the fun activities as well as making friends with many people from different countries. Whitianga A nice, small, quiet town with friendly people and beautiful surroundings.
Safe, beautiful and the locals are very friendly. I studied English for many years before but I think this was the period that I’ve improved most. In July 2001, I opened a little language school right next to the local high school in Whitianga. Our two campuses are located in Whitianga and Thames on the Coromandel Peninsula, which is one of the most beautiful parts of New Zealand.
