Games Area In addition to the children area and the amusement room and swimming pool, we try to yield amusement for guests of all ages. Excellent drinking water is provided for Camper Vans from our 'barrel' outside the office. Fishing is another vast attraction that brings people to this area and, of course, the heritage of one of New Zealands oldest towns with its wealthy history as a gold mining center. One of the main attractions at Dickson Park for visitors from New Zealand and all over the world is the bush walking and the famous Coromandel Forest Park.
The central location also makes it effortless to take day trips to many other places. Don't forget that if you are traveling light we have a fully equipped fresh kitchen and dining facility and for those a bit more adventurous our Pioneer Kitchen with its wood burning stove, wok and barbecue are a popular alternative. We have one site suitable for guests with dogs, very near the Park entrance, making it easy for dogs to be exercised exterior the camp.
We have tried the pans and found gold but we are quiet running a camping ground so maybe you won't get wealthy but it can be a lot of fun. From the swings your kids are easily amused and have a vast deposit for meeting other kids in the camp. The Gold is mostly gone, or superior left in the ground to preserve the scenic wealth of this attractive area, but the history remains and is a segment of life on the Coromandel Peninsula.
