What you should know about THE GREEN HOUSE BED AND BREAKFAST
For the last few years we have been travelling to the Orkneys and the south of England to visit family and friends. We arrived in Coromandel Town towards the end of 2015 and to our surprise three days later we were buying the Green House. We pretty much know you will enjoy your stay and that you will leave with some wonderful Coromandel memories
Cathedral Cove and Warm Water Beach are well known Coromandel destinations and healthy worth a visit. It's a five minute bike ride to the Barbour and wharf and a five tiny drive to the golf course.
At the height of the season as you reach at Hahei you will be directed to park in a field and pay for a 5 minute bus ride to the top smooth vehicle park. Only a concise 25 minute drive, over the ranges heading for maturing, are a couple of our favorite beaches Whangapoua, New Chums and Opera Point. The Flight center K2 is possibly the toughest one day cycle defy in the Southern Hemisphere. Enjoy the ravishing scenery on your way back to Coromandel Town particularly the views from the top of the ranges at Tokatea Lookout.
The Ranges Room has its own private deck and faces east looking out to the Coromandel ranges. You should now be set up for a beautiful night meal at one of our excellent cafes or restaurants. The Colville Connection is a cycle event set in one of the best off road succeed playgrounds in the North Island of Fresh Zealand. Take the road to Colville and then head east over the ranges to Waikawau and Insignificant Bay and on via Tuateawa and Kennedy Bay and so back to Coromandel Town.
The Coromandel Coastal Walkway is a stunning 3 hr hike from Fletcher's Bay to Stony bay at the top of the peninsula. Each Friday morning, outer the Pepper Tree Restaurant, you will find an array of local homegrown produce and crafts for sale. The track takes off into the bush and back to the bay a couple of times earlier finally heading over a saddle towards Fresh Chums. Succeed the beach as far as you can out to the rocky point at the Barbour entrance an idyllic place to relax and maybe have a picnic.
